South Philadelphia native, Ligne Meadows, is an entrepreneur who graduated from Girls High School and attended LaSalle University. She originally began her career, at the age of 14, working with youth under different organizations including Youth Works, The Free Library, The YMCA, The Please Touch Museum, City Year and Finally The School District of Philadelphia. After 11 years of working directly with children and completing 1700 hours of community service, she decided to take on a new path and create a career where she could work for herself and build her own empire.
In 2014, Ligne combined her big passion for creativity with her even bigger shopping habit! She collected all of her new and gently used items from her closet and resold them. It was a success! After creating a buzz about “What is L.Janel’s Closet?” Ligne founded L.Janel’s Closet (LJC), an online consignment boutique, retailing women’s fashions and accessories.
In 2015, Ligne received overwhelming responses from clients who also wanted custom items so she decided to start a new branch of service and developed All Custom Everything a full service printing company specializing in individual and bulk custom items such as cups, shirts, window displays and more.
By incorporating her personal design, style and creativity into the boutique’s inventory, the Chief Brand Designer decided to convert her company into a complete apparel and lifestyle brand:
With the support of her clientele, Ligne and L.Janel’s Closet has become a citywide staple in community service efforts and activism within the City of Philadelphia. LJC has active sponsorships with local events and programs such as Women’s History Month with Unity in the Community, IamBumi, The Annual Thanksgiving Giveback and Autism Speaks, just to name a few.
Ms. Meadows is a philanthropist in the community, fashion icon, traveler, and volunteer. She does it all!
